Last weekend the Girls Basketball team traveled to Newton for the 2014-2015 Newton Tournament.
This tournament consisted of eight teams in which over half were ranked in the top 10 in 6A.
The team played Bishop Miege, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, and Ulysses.
The girls lost to Bishop Miege (44-72) and Kapaun Mt. Carmel (45-62), but won vs. Ulysses (99-56), almost crossing that 100 point margin.
The Girls placed 7th out of the eight teams but beat some records to make up for it.
During this tournament, the team beat their own record of 15 three-pointers in one game vs Truman and raised it to a total of 17 against Ulysses.
Its their second record they have set in 2015, but their third during the 2014-2015 basketball season.
Come out on Friday to support your Lady Ravens as they take on Shawnee Mission West at 5:30 pm, and following the girls, the boys play SMW at 7:00.
