What do you expect from your team this year differently from last year?
They now know they can be successful so I expect them to push themselves for continued improvement.
What do you need to do as a coach to help your team be successful?
Make sure routines are ready and that we have loaded them with bonus to increase our team score and teach girls new skills to boost team score.
Is there something about this team that separates them from any teams you’ve coached in the past?
Their cohesiveness is something that separates them. The girls are really close and support each other. I’ve never had a group of girls who encourages each other this much.
What have you done differently to prepare for this season?
Get each routine set up and prepared well before the first meet of the season.
What key games do you see on the schedule as a challenge to the team?
The first test will be September 20th when we will see all the teams for the first time this season. It will tell us what well be up against the rest of the season. Then there is the Hawk Invite at Olathe East; and of course the League and State Meets.

Mindy and I are so excited about this upcoming season and the teams potential and we’re ready to start working hard!
